I realized that it took me kinda long to update my blog. I will try to update every now and then whenever I learned something new or interesting at work (if I am not too lazy to do so). Or whenever I have any pictures to share.
Last month, I was involved in a project for cinema ads (animation) production. Based on the animation ads that we produced, below are some of the procedures involved.
- To develop ideas and storyboard for the ads.
- Convert the storyboard into animation.
- Convert the mpeg file into Digital Betacam/ DAT mode/ mod format for Kinegraphic Transfer and sound mixing (Kinegraphic Transfer are conversion of Digital Betacam into 35mm film reels).
- A check print will be developed for approval (only 1 check print film reels).
- Once the check print has been approved, it will be submitted for Censorship approval (approval will requires 2-3 weeks).
- Censorboard will issued Cert A and Cert B upon approval. (Only one Cert A is required for each creative ads concept/ storyboard. It is an approval for the storyboard to ensure that there is no inappropriate elements in the ads. Quantity for Cert B is depending on the quantity of the filmlets bulk prints. Meaning amount of Cert B = amount of filmlets bulk prints. This is because one Cert B will be pasted on each film reels that act as a license for the film reels).
- Production of bulk print commence once Cert A has been issued by Censorboard.
Basically, these are the steps involved for the production of the ads (I might have skipped or forgotten some steps).
